Join us for the 2nd Annual San Diego 4th of July 5K & 10K, held in honor of Ethan Hamilton and in support of the Veterans Village of San Diego and Active Kids Alliance. Every participant receives a SD 4th of July 5K t-shirt, medal, swag bag, and beer voucher (21+). Awards are presented to the top 3 male and female finishers in every age division. A Kids 1K Fun Run is also available for younger participants.

About Active Kids Alliance
Active Kids Alliance is a San Diego–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making sure financial barriers never keep a kid out of the game. Through their scholarship program, AKA provides funding—typically around $300 per scholarship—for children ages 5–18 to participate in organized sports, performing arts, and other youth programs across San Diego County. Since launching in 2024, they’ve awarded more than 60 scholarships covering everything from club volleyball and competitive cheer to rock climbing, dance, martial arts, and theater. AKA has also contributed sports equipment and playground support to local schools and organizations including the Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego. The San Diego 4th of July 5K is one of two flagship events that fund AKA’s mission—so every registration and every mile directly supports a kid’s chance to play.

Race packet pick-up takes place on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 from 1:00–6:00 PM at the Shay Realtor Hub, 16611 Dove Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92127.

- 10K: Early Bird $55 (through May 31) / $65 (June 1–July 1) / $70 late registration
- 5K: Early Bird $45 (through May 31) / $50 (June 1–July 1) / $55 late registration
